Rug Cleaning in Trussville
Collection and delivery in Trussville are included. We take the rug back to the workshop, wash it properly, and bring it home.
What Trussville is built from
The 1930s Cahaba Project at its centre — foursquare houses in brick and wood siding with pine floors and metal roofs, on half-acre lots around a central green — surrounded by decades of later subdivision building out along the Cahaba River.
Families with deep roots on one side of town and recent arrivals on the other. Yards are large, children and dogs are outside constantly, and there is nearly always a ball field involved somewhere in the week.
The Trussville problem
Red clay is the signature here, and it is nothing like ordinary dirt. The soils on this side of Jefferson County are iron-rich, and the clay grinds down to a particle fine enough to lodge between the scales of a wool fibre rather than sit on top of it. Once it is in there it is not really soil any more, it is a stain in waiting: the track mark lightens under a vacuum, and then a rust-tinged shadow reappears the next time the rug takes on moisture. It also sets permanently if it is scrubbed in wet, which is exactly what a rented machine does to it. Getting it out means removing the dry soil thoroughly before any water is introduced at all, then flushing rather than agitating — and it is the single most common reason rugs come to us from this end of the route.
If that sounds like your rug, send the form and describe what you are seeing. We will tell you whether it needs the full treatment or not.
